The Foster Closet created The Pathway Independent Living Program to help teens (18 years) in foster care get ready to begin the journey of their independent lives.  A critical component to making this program a success is the support that a Life Guide can give to an aging out teen.

Volunteer adults must undergo training to become a Life Guide before Foster Closet can create a match with a teen.  Life Guides will meet regularly with their teens to help guide them in achieving their goals, as well as keep them on task with daily living skills such as balancing a check book, budgets, etc.
